High-Quality Dental Care For the Whole Family in Cary, NC
At Cary Smiles, we provide dental care for all ages in Cary, North Carolina and the surrounding communities in Wake County. Dr. Rahee Shah and our team are proud to deliver comprehensive and high-quality dental services that are tailored to the unique needs of our patients. Whether you are coming to us for your routine dental cleaning, need a filling to repair a cavity, or are looking for restorative treatments like crowns, root canals and implants, we do it all!
Dental Cleanings

Professional dental cleaning go beyond your oral health care routine at home. Our expert, compassionate team ensures your teeth and gums are healthy by removing any plaque buildup or tartar, polishing to make your teeth shine and checking for any signs of periodontal (gum) disease.
Depending on the last time you had X-rays taken, we may capture images of your mouth at the time of your visit as well before Dr. Shah comes in to do a final exam. Overall, there are many benefits to not skipping out on your bi-annual dental cleaning, including maintaining good oral health, having fresh breath, reducing your risk of gum disease and warding off cavities.
Tooth-Colored Fillings

We utilize tooth-colored fillings to repair cavities to ensure your filling blends in with your natural teeth, creating a seamless smile. With this tooth-colored filling, Dr. Shah restores your tooth’s function and appearance. This way, we are able to preserve as much of your tooth’s structure as possible.
If our team discovers a cavity, we will schedule you for an appointment to come back to our Cary, NC office, where Dr. Shah will perform your filling. This is a quick outpatient procedure we are able to do in our office, allowing you to go about your day after your appointment. Before you leave, we will give you post-care instructions so you are able to maintain great oral health.
Onlays

We use dental onlays to help restore your smile from a damaged tooth usually due to decay or injury. Dr. Shah may recommend an onlay over a tooth-colored filling if the decay is too extensive for a filling to treat, but may not require a crown. An onlay is designed to cover the cusp, or biting surface of your tooth.
Cary Smiles works with the best labs to ensure your dental restoration is made with high quality materials and fits in your mouth precisely as it should. Receiving your onlay is easy and comfortable and typically takes just two appointments with us!
Crowns

Are you hiding behind your smile due to a cracked or chipped tooth? Are you in pain from trying to chew with a damaged tooth? We want to help fix your smile with a dental crown. At Cary Smiles, our goal is to save as much of your natural tooth as possible while crafting a beautiful, healthy smile that lasts for years.
Dental crowns help support weakened teeth and enhance the appearance of your smile. At Cary Smiles, we provide our patients with traditional crowns in just two appointments. For select cases, we offer same-day crowns, where we are able to 3D print your restoration right here in our office!
Root Canals

Root canal treatments save your tooth from an extraction. We may recommend a root canal if Dr. Shah determines that your tooth pulp—tissue that houses your blood vessels and nerves—is infected or damaged. By removing any infection or treating inflammation, we are keeping bacteria out and preventing reinfection.
The root canal procedure has been around for decades, and thanks to new, cutting-edge techniques and modern anesthetics, patients are able to have a more enjoyable experience with little to no pain. After the procedure, most of our patients are able to return to work, school or other activities that same day. You will just need to eat soft foods for a couple days until the numbness wears off.
Dental Implants

Dental implants are surgically placed in your jawbone to replace missing or damaged teeth. This type of restorative procedure may be a good fit for you in order to help restore your ability to chew, speak or improve your smile appearance. The main goal of dental implants is to offer support for artificial teeth such as crowns or bridges that act and look just like natural teeth. Additionally, these devices also help with bone density, as missing teeth cause the bones in the jaw to deteriorate.
The entire process takes several months to complete, but when it is finished, you are left with a complete smile that not only looks fantastic, but also improves your overall health and wellness and your ability to speak and chew.
